Cherishing Childhood Before It Flies

I often think about what it really means to grow up. One day, I heard my parents talking about their childhood, and it felt so different from ours. They spent hours playing outside, climbing trees, running with friends, and creating little adventures every day. There were no phones or social media—just laughter, games, and simple joys.

When I look at our lives now, most of us are always on screens—scrolling, watching shows, or playing games. It’s fun, but sometimes I feel we are missing out on the little things that make childhood special: running barefoot on the grass, playing hide-and-seek with friends, or simply laughing until our cheeks hurt.

Hearing my parents’ stories made me realize their childhood was calm, natural, and full of memories—like a strong tree with deep roots. Our lives are moving fast, and while we dream of becoming doctors, engineers, or athletes, we sometimes forget to enjoy being kids.

Time moves quickly, and we can’t stop it—but we can choose how to spend it. Even small moments—helping a friend, playing outdoors, or enjoying family time—can create memories that last forever.
The lesson I learned is simple: Childhood is precious. Enjoy it, make memories, and grow up with joy, not just hurry.
