The Things We Never Say

There are things we never say,
Like how some days the light feels far away.
We smile with tired, weary eyes,
And laugh while hiding secret cries.
We tell the world, “I’m fine, just today,”
But inside, whole oceans sway.
We ache in silence, post our smiles,
Patch up cracks in quiet hearts for miles.

We carry questions without names,
Old regrets and gentle blames.
We miss the people we shouldn’t miss,
And chase the dreams that do not exist.
So here’s to all the hidden pain,
The love, the fear we can’t explain.
To all the truths that slip away —
The heavy things we never say.
