Two Places, One Happy Me

A Day I Remember in Belgium
Sometimes, I think about my days in Belgium and how my life was different there. I still remember one full day very clearly.
When I woke up in the morning, I saw a beautiful farm next to our house. I washed my face, went downstairs, and greeted my family. While I was drinking my milk, we talked about the day. After that, I went upstairs, got ready quickly, and prepared for school.
In Belgium, we did not wear school uniforms. There were no school buses either. My father dropped me at school in our car. I said goodbye to him and went inside. My friends greeted me, and we played together until the bell rang.
When the bell rang, we went into the classroom. There was no prayer in the morning. Our class teacher entered the class, and we spoke in Dutch. During the day, we did many activities. We had Dutch and maths lessons.
In the late afternoon, the bell rang again, and it was time to go home. My father picked me up from school. At home, I sat on the couch, watched my favourite show, and ate homemade snacks. By then, my sister had woken up from her nap, and we went outside to play for some time.
Later, I came back inside, ate dinner, and watched some TV. I jumped on my bed and felt happy. My father sang songs and told me stories, and then I went to sleep.

Now, I live in Mysore, India, and I study at Purna Chetana Public School. My life here is very different from my life in Belgium. I wear a school uniform every day and come to school with many other children. We start our day with prayers, and I enjoy standing calmly and taking part in them. It makes me feel peaceful and happy.
At first, everything felt strange to me. Learning new subjects like Sanskrit, following school rules, and studying in a new way felt different. But slowly, I started enjoying it. I love learning new things, playing with my friends, and spending my days at school.
My life has changed, but I enjoy every part of it now. I enjoyed my days in Belgium, and I am enjoying my life in India too. Every place has something special, and every day gives us moments to remember. When life changes, it teaches us to enjoy what we have, because one day, these simple moments become memories we miss.
