If I Had a Superpower

If I ever had a superpower, I wouldn’t choose to fly or become invisible like superheroes in movies. I’d want something different — the power to see the future.
I always wonder: What will happen in the next exam? Will it rain tomorrow? Will I meet someone new? With this power, I could know the answers before anyone else.
I imagine myself closing my eyes and watching the future play like a movie. It wouldn’t just be fun — it would be useful too. If my teacher was going to fall sick, I could tell her to rest early. If my friend was about to forget his homework, I could remind him before it was too late. If someone was going to feel sad tomorrow, I could make them smile today.

In school, my power would be super helpful. I wouldn’t cheat in exams, but I could prepare well if I knew what questions were coming. I could warn my friends about surprise homework checks or remind them to carry an umbrella on rainy days. Even small things, like knowing when a teacher will be in a happy mood or strict, could help me behave better.
Outside school, this power could make a big difference in the world. If a storm or earthquake was coming, I could warn people to stay safe. Farmers could grow better crops if I told them when it would rain. I could save people from accidents, or simply remind my parents to carry their things before they forget.
Of course, I’d have some fun too! I’d know what gifts I’ll get on my birthday, what new cartoons are coming, and which cricket team will win. But I wouldn’t spoil the surprises for others — because sometimes, not knowing makes life exciting.
Most importantly, I would never use my power to scare or show off. A true superhero is not just someone with powers, but someone who uses them with kindness. I would listen to my parents and teachers, and always use my gift to do the right thing.
And even if I don’t really get this superpower, I’ve learned something. We all have a small “future-seeing” power already. It’s called thinking ahead. If I plan, prepare, and make good choices, I can shape my own future.
So until then, I’ll keep dreaming, keep imagining, and keep working hard. Because maybe, one day, my dream will come true.
