My Journey with Sketching & Drawing
I still remember the day sketching first entered my life. In Grade 6, I thought it was impossible. Whenever I saw sketches online, I would tell myself, “This is too hard, I can never do it.”

But my mother — who is an artist herself — proved me wrong. She sat beside me and said gently, “Nothing is impossible. With patience and focus, you can achieve anything.” Her words stayed with me.

So I picked up my pencil and began. At first, my lines looked shaky, and I wanted to give up. But I kept practising — one sketch after another. Slowly, something magical happened. My drawings began to improve, and one day, I looked at my work and thought, “I can actually do this!” That was the moment I fell in love with sketching.

From then on, art didn’t just stay on paper — it entered my life. It taught me patience, focus, and calmness. I stopped getting angry easily, and I started feeling proud of what I created. Soon, people began calling me an “artist.” Hearing that word gave me confidence, but also reminded me to stay humble and keep working harder.

Now, whenever I draw, I put my feelings into every stroke. Sketching is no longer “tough” for me. It is my best friend, my teacher, and my way of showing the world who I am.
I’ve learned one truth through this journey: Nothing in life is easy. But if you give your full effort, stay patient, and never give up, success will surely follow.
