Dancing with My Dream
Bharatanatyam is not just a dance for me—it’s my passion, my dream, and my joy. I want to share my experience of my Junior Exam in 2023, which taught me so much about dedication, hard work, and belief in oneself.

This journey was not easy. I had to prepare for both practical performances and theory, and even face a viva. The practical part, where I danced with all my heart, brought me happiness and excitement every day. The theory, especially writing it in Kannada, was challenging—but it taught me patience and focus.

I could not have done it alone. My guru, Meghana Ma’am, has always been my guiding light. Her encouragement and gentle guidance made me believe I could achieve anything. My mother’s constant support and my best friend cheering me on also gave me the courage to keep going.

The exam day finally arrived. I stepped into the room, taking blessings from my parents and my guru. The examiner’s calm words, “You look beautiful,” made my heart race with confidence. I performed all my dances with hope and energy, gave my best in theory, and faced the viva with a steady mind.
Now, as I wait for my results, I feel proud of myself—not because of marks, but because I followed my passion, worked hard, and never gave up. Bharatanatyam is my life, and I dream of opening a big academy one day, where I can teach and inspire others as I was inspired.

This experience taught me one important thing: never give up on your passion. Chase it with your heart, and it will lead you to wonderful places.
