Wings of Freedom

A thousand birds, kept in a cage,
Spent all their days, trapped in a stage.
The bird keeper watched, day by day,
Their songs grew silent, joy went away.
No one would buy them, no one would see,
Their lives went on in mystery.
Days passed, years slipped by,
No eager hands, no curious eye.
Then came the moment, the keeper knew,
The weight of his actions, the sorrow grew.
He opened the cage, a bird inside,
Obsessed with boredom, nowhere to hide.
It stretched its wings, the sky its song,
At last, it was free, where it belonged.
And so we learn, like this bird so small,
Even when life seems trapped in a wall,
With courage and hope, we rise and try,
Spreading our wings, reaching the sky.
